2. What is the normal lifetime of the print head?
The XP600 print head usually lasts up to 6 months of daily usage but is known to work for up to 10 months if a rigorous and regular maintenance routine is followed.
3. How long does the printer take to produce a single A3 size print?
On average, an A3 print from a UV flatbed printer takes around 3 minutes.
4. How do I maintain a UV printer in winter months / colder climates?
Use lubricants to help your printer deal with winter dryness. Your UV flatbed printer should be placed and operated in a working environment with a temperature between 10 to 35 degrees Celsius or 50 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. & humidity 40~60%.
5. How can I improve the ink adhesion for my UV flatbed printer?
Ideally, you should test the printing material and its adhesive colorfastness before purchasing the machine. However, if the issue occurs later, you can test with different UV inks or add a coating layer to improve the ink adhesion. You can test this with your material or consult a 3rd party agent to check the report. You can also keep an eye on the power of the UV lamp since a weak UV beam will not be as effective in curing the ink of the final print, leading to poor adhesion.
6. What advantages make UV printing preferable to conventional printing?
UV printing has a quicker turnaround for each print, and the setup, including the UV lamp, does not produce enough heat to affect the print beyond curing the ink. Furthermore, UV printing has lower emissions, making it an environmentally friendly option.
7. How to improve the printing resolution with A3 flatbed UV printer?
You should choose a high-precision image to improve the printing resolution. Also, you should use your original supplier's inks to avoid any quality problems. further, software setting like a waveform. and ICC profiles are also critical factors that affect the printing quality. you can consult the machine supplier.
8. How can I maintain my print heads better?
A common reason for print head degradation is the exposure of ink particles left behind to UV rays. UV rays instantly cure these ink particles, causing them to adhere to surfaces inside the print head or nozzle. You can avoid this by placing the printer in a spot where sunlight does not reach it and using quality ink to reduce the residue left behind.
9. How do I change the ink in my flatbed UV printer A3?
The main instructions should be in the manual that comes with your printer. Besides that, remember to clean ink routes with a cleaning solution before pouring in new ink. The pouring should also be done with caution to avoid spills and pollution.
