1. What is the difference between DTF 300 and DTF 600?
As the model number indicated. DTF300 printing width within 30cm(11.81 inches). DTF600 printing width 60cm.(23.62inches) Due to the different head configurations. DTF 600 model is more for commercial use. Speed up to 16~28 sqm/hr. And A3 DTF 300 model speed 2~4sqm/hr
2. What is the lifetime of a print head?
Print heads are consumable goods. The Epson XP600 boasts a lifetime of about 6 months, but users report functionality for up to 10 months if maintained regularly and used cautiously.
3. Does the machine come in whole piece. what shall we install?
The DTF printer mainly ships in one piece. but you will need to install the basement which is like a desk holder for the printing machine. for the DTF 300 model. since it's a small model. even the printheads are installed before shipment. what you need to do is install the ink and do the calibration.
4. Do DTF printers need special software to operate?
Yes, DTF printers require special RIP software. These software programs are needed for white and color printing, and they instruct the printer to thicken the white layer.
5. What happens if I leave my DTF printer inactive for a long time?
Left unused for long periods, DTF printers tend to clog. To prevent this, thoroughly clean out the printer of all ink before subjecting it to long periods of idleness. This cleaning entails flushing the lines and print head cleaning by soaking in a container full of cleaning solution for at least 30 minutes.
6. What are the maximum print area sizes for standard DTF printers?
We have 2 standard DTF Printer models with a 30cm width and a 60cm width. The width is fixed. But length is not fixed. Normally pet film rolls to roll its 100 meters.
7. Is white ink still necessary if my design does not use white color anywhere?
Yes. DTF printing requires a layer of white ink as a base beneath all designs, (when printing on film. It’s on the top layer. Cuz it will be mirror-side transfer onto garments). even ones that don’t incorporate white color anywhere on the surface or in the preview image. the white layer will hold the coating glue better and stick transfer to the garments.
8. What file types should be fed to a DTF printer for best results?
DTF printers can turn any bitmapped image file into a printed design, but certain image formats are known to produce better results than others. Some of the formats most preferred in the industry and widespread use are Adobe Photoshop’s .psd, Tiff, JPG, PNG, and PDF with a resolution of at least 300 dots per inch.
